Rental conditions

Read the published rental terms across 72 topics. Missing information does not mean a service is unavailable. Scores follow the published scoring method and are rounded only after the calculation.

Motorcycle and route fit9 possible points

Motorcycle range3.33 / 5

City scooters are listed. Larger scooters are also advertised, but availability needs confirmation before booking.

ABS-equipped options5.00 / 5
Rider-specific advice2.50 / 5

Smaller scooters are suggested for inexperienced or smaller riders. If you still cannot reach the ground comfortably, use another form of transport.

Pre-rental test ride0.00 / 5
Long-ride practicality1.25 / 5
Model-year choice0.00 / 5
New and low-mileage options0.00 / 5
Permitted travel area2.50 / 5

Keep the motorcycle within 25 km of Pattaya and within Chonburi province; taking it outside Thailand is prohibited.

Off-road permission0.00 / 5

Booking and paperwork11 possible points

ID-copy handling2.50 / 5

Identity-document copies are used for rental and licensing administration and identity checks; personal data may also be used for rental-service surveys and anonymous statistics.

Rider eligibility0.00 / 5

Confirm the document requirements before pickup: passport versus licence copies, and the licence/IDP requirement, are stated inconsistently. Do not treat rental acceptance as permission to ride unlicensed or as proof of insurance cover.

Terms before commitment5.00 / 5

Only named or approved drivers may ride; carry the rental certificate and report its loss. No subletting, unauthorized commercial use or modifications. Return at the agreed time and place with the company present, remove belongings, and pay any agreed relocation cost. Traffic fines and related towing/storage are yours; a later speeding fine handled after departure adds 1,000 baht. Breach can end the hire without a refund.

Cancellation and no-shows5.00 / 5

Cancellation within three days of the rental date costs the full rental charge. A customer-caused delay of at least one hour in starting the pickup formalities is treated as cancellation. Operator-caused or neither-party-caused cancellation returns the advance payment; customer cancellation requires payment of any applicable fee before the advance is refunded. Changes need approval; the third and each later booking change costs 100 baht.

Reserved-bike substitutions2.50 / 5

A model request costs 100 baht per bike, but whether the exact model is guaranteed needs confirmation. If the booked class is unavailable, you may accept a substitute: a higher class keeps the booked price and a lower class uses its lower price. Declining the substitute cancels with the advance refunded.

Booking confirmation5.00 / 5

For agency-managed bookings, an automatic reply is not confirmation. Outside office hours, confirmation follows in the next business period; ordinary replies usually arrive within 24 hours on business days. Processing pauses on weekends and Thai holidays. A completed MyPage booking needs no reconfirmation. Booking at least a day ahead is recommended in peak season. Calculator totals are estimates, not confirmed bookings; reserve through LINE or the shop.

Copies of rental documents2.50 / 5

Agency-managed bookings provide digital confirmation/status, vouchers and receipts through MyPage.

Direct rental contact5.00 / 5

Contact the rental team through LINE @ugk5017f or [email protected]. The agency office phone is +66 38 429 610, 10:00–18:00; after-hours emergency numbers are 088 246 3350 and 084 523 4050.

Prices and deposits15 possible points

Taxes and added charges3.33 / 5

A 50-baht daily peak surcharge applies 20 December–10 January, 7–24 April, 25 April–13 May, 6–18 August and 15–25 September.

Published rental rates3.33 / 5

The minimum hire is 24 hours. Daily and 30-day rates and some 15-day specials are advertised.

Deposit amount0.00 / 5

Confirm the security deposit and amount before committing: both no-deposit terms and a model-dependent refundable cash deposit are advertised. Where taken, the deposit is refundable when the bike returns in its original condition.

Keeping your passport5.00 / 5

You keep your original passport; document presentation and photocopies may still be required.

Deposit release and deductions0.00 / 5
Deposit payment and currency1.25 / 5
Rental payment methods3.75 / 5

The bike center takes cash. Bike renters may also pay by card at the separate agency office after collection. Confirm whether the office’s general 3% card fee applies to your booking.

Longer-rental savings3.33 / 5

A 30-day offer has a lower daily equivalent than daily hire, and 15-day specials are also advertised. Advance website-form bookings receive discounted prices; email, LINE, phone and walk-in bookings incur an additional charge. Confirm the applicable price when reserving through LINE after using a calculator estimate.

Preparation and servicing20 possible points

Checks before collection3.00 / 5

The operator commits to inspection and maintenance before hire. Check the bike’s mechanical condition, appearance and accessories before riding, then carry out daily checks during the hire.

Scheduled servicing0.00 / 5
Brake-fluid maintenance0.00 / 5
Suitable parts and supplies0.00 / 5
Specialist repair facilities0.00 / 5
Servicing and wear costs2.92 / 5

Normal-use punctures and mechanical faults receive free repair or an available replacement. For a nearby puncture repair in Pattaya, keep the receipt; reimbursement may be capped at 100 baht, so confirm the applicable cap and repayment method. Misuse, intoxication and three-rider use are excluded. A repair exclusion beyond 50 km does not extend the permitted riding area.

Vehicle papers and cover1.50 / 5

Bike insurance is included subject to its terms and exclusions. Uncovered losses, excess and deductibles remain the renter’s responsibility unless specially agreed; unlicensed, illegal or intoxicated riding can exclude cover.

Equipment and luggage6 possible points

Helmets and fit3.33 / 5

Up to two clean helmets are included free; request the passenger helmet. Lost or damaged helmets cost 300 baht each. Standalone helmet hire is a separate service.

Clothing and boots0.00 / 5
Rain gear and first aid0.00 / 5
Phone mounts3.33 / 5

A spring phone holder is included. Phones can fall on rough surfaces, and the operator excludes the resulting phone-repair cost.

Cover and problem-solving16 possible points

Medical cover0.00 / 5
Roadside help and recovery5.00 / 5

Mobile help is described for central Pattaya, excluding Naklua and Jomtien, despite a wider pickup promise. Confirm coverage before riding farther. Outside the mobile area, contact the center for repair or towing arrangements; towing costs may be yours. LINE contact is available around the clock, but a late-night problem may wait until morning.

Fault-related replacement5.00 / 5

For normal-use mechanical trouble, a no-charge replacement depends on availability. A pre-existing defect can lead to a substitute or a full refund if you decline it or none is available. If neither party caused the bike to become unusable, the unused balance is refundable.

Help arranging repairs5.00 / 5
Repair charges and estimates0.00 / 5

Accident damage can mean repair costs and downtime charges, normally 200 baht per repair day. Even a minor fall may cost around 4,000 baht or more to repair. These are not fixed repair quotes; the company-sole-fault exception still applies.

Theft and lost keys2.50 / 5

Report theft immediately to the police and the company. Lock the steering and remove the key. Theft or loss can mean paying replacement value; the roughly 40,000-baht example is for an older bike, not every model. Notify the company if a key is lost: the usual charge is 250 baht, with a stated 1,250-baht exception for a 2023 CLICK electronic key.

Help with insurance claims0.00 / 5
Help after a collision5.00 / 5

After a fault or accident, stop and contact the company immediately. Follow its repair instructions and obtain approval before settling a claim; the team offers advice and cooperation in resolving the accident.

Minimum hire is 24 hours. Fractional-time charges are 25% of the daily rate for up to 6 hours, 50% up to 12 hours, and a full day for over 12 hours through 23 hours 59 minutes. Hourly late-return charges with/without prior notice are: PCX 50/150 baht; newer-bike class 40/125 baht; older-bike class 20/100 baht. Confirm whether AEROX uses the PCX rate. Before extending, confirm the applicable charges, whether fractional rates apply to agreed extensions after the first 24 hours, and how they interact with the minimum hire and hourly late fees.

Pickup and practicalities6 possible points

Local pickup options5.00 / 5

Collect from AP Bike Center on Pattaya Second Road between Soi 8 and Soi 9. The agency office between Soi 13/2 and Soi 13/3 is a different location, not the bike pickup.

Regular opening hours0.00 / 5

Bike handovers run daily from 10:00 to 18:59, including New Year. Collection and return are refused from 19:00 to 09:59. Select 18:55 rather than 19:00 on the booking form: the 100-baht system surcharge does not authorize a later handover.

Out-of-hours arrangements0.00 / 5
Fuel return policy5.00 / 5

The bike leaves with a full tank and must return full. A half-tank return costs 150 baht; empty or nearly empty costs 300 baht. Fuel sold at the center is more expensive than at a station.
